1. Service Description

RentNotice.org is a free public service operated by Prelien LLC. It allows tenants to verify whether an eviction or legal notice was legitimately generated through RentNotice.com. The service is provided at no cost to tenants.

2. Not Legal Advice

RentNotice.org is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not represent tenants or landlords. Verification confirms only that a notice was generated through RentNotice.com. It does not confirm the legal validity, sufficiency, or enforceability of any notice.

3. Notice Verification

RentNotice.org provides a public notice verification service. Verification confirms that a notice was generated through the Platform and that the property address and notice type on file match the physical document. Verification does not constitute a legal determination of validity.

4. SMS Communications

By responding to an SMS from RentNotice.org, you consent to receive transactional messages related to notice verification. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for assistance.

Message frequency depends on verification activity
Your phone number is stored as a one-way hash and cannot be reversed
Your PIN is stored as a one-way hash and cannot be recovered — only reset

5. PIN Security

Your 6-digit PIN protects your verification account. Do not share your PIN with anyone, including your landlord. RentNotice.org staff will never ask for your PIN. If you forget your PIN, text RESET to create a new one.

6. No Tenant Data Collection

RentNotice.org does not collect, store, or process tenant names, immigration status, or identifying information. See our Privacy Policy for details on our privacy-by-design architecture.

7. Limitation of Liability

RentNotice.org is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Prelien LLC is not liable for any damages arising from use of or inability to use the verification service, including but not limited to actions taken based on verification results.

8. Availability

We strive to maintain continuous service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or technical issues.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by California law. Disputes shall be resolved in Los Angeles County courts.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
